Hoyt Y DNA

I just found out that my maternal 11th Great Grandfather Simon Hoyt's Y DNA E-M84 haplogroup has been refined to E-BY68810 that a is branch of E-PF6748 branch that is a branch of E-PF6751.

The closest matches are men in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Palestinian Territory with their sharing PF6748 in common.

The vast majority of the P-F6751 matches are people in the Middle East including especially Saudi Arabia.

His Y DNA was definitely Middle Eastern.

There are Jews with this haplogroup branch.

Jewish ancestry in my Hoyt family ancestral background is a possibility.

My maternal 11th Great Grandfather Simon Hoyt immigrated to Salem, Massachusetts from England around 1628 or 1629.

He lived in the towns Charlestown, Dorchester, and Scituate in Massachusetts.

Then he lived in the towns Windsor, Fairfield, and Stamford in Connecticut.

He died in Stamford in 1657.
