Corrections About my Paternal Grandfather Nolan Scott's family and Death Certificate Information

I was trying to look for any information about my 2nd Great Grandparents William and Maria Scott.  I found an African American couple William and Maria Daigle living in Lafourche Parish in the 1910 Census which showed that Maria gave birth to three children that were still living at the time but not in the household. I am wondering if this was the same couple as my 2nd Great Grandparents recorded as William and Maria Dagar (mis-transcribed as Kagen) in 1900 Census and whose children were recorded as being Pinkey, Matthews, and Ivory.  The 1900 Census shows that 2nd Great Grandma Maria was a mother of four children with three of them living. My 1 year old paternal grandfather Nolan was shown to have the last name Scott in 1910 Census living with his single mother Carrie Johnson in the household headed by his maternal grandmother Rosanna (Hester) Johnson who was the widow of Harvey Johnson, but I found none of his relatives with the last name Scott in the 1910 Census.   I couldn't

Marion County Turner Family May Be Connected to my Paternal Grandmother and Information Given to Me about the Turners

In a previous blog post,  I told that I have European American AncestryDNA matches that descend from John and Patience Turner who lived in Marion County, South Carolina.  I also told that I have European American AncestryDNA matches that descend from Stephen Turner who lived in Marion County and suspected to be a descendant of John and Patience.  One of the Stephen Turner descendant AncestryDNA matches P. Johnson is also a 23andme match and shares a predominantly Sub Saharan African 32 cM segment with me on paternal Chromosome 9.  23andme shows the Sub Saharan African as Southeast African. The segment also includes a very short little Filipino/Austronesian segment that I found to be Malagasy from Madagascar.  Because AncestryDNA has no Chromosome browser, I have no way of knowing what shared segments that I have with all the other Marion County Turner descendant AncestryDNA matches which are affected by AncestryDNA's Timber algorithm which seems to be due to John and Patience havi
