 After learning that my Great Grandfather Ivory Scott died on January 11, 1969 in Los Angeles, California and that he was a widower at the time,  I checked to find information about his longtime second wife Dicey Wilson.   I wanted to see if Great Grandpa Ivory moved to Los Angeles from Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana with her. h ttps://diversegenes.blogspot.com/2023/09/death-certificate-of-my-patrilineal.html I found a 1958 Los Angeles, California voter registration record of Great Grandpa Ivory and Dicey registered as Democrats and living at 3639 Adair Street. Some time between the time of the 1950 Census and the time of the 1958 voter registration, they relocated to Los Angeles from Thibodaux.  I just received the death certificate of Ivry Scott whose Jan 11, 1969 Los Angeles, California death record that I found at ancestry.com.  I suspected that it was my Great Grandfather Ivory Scott's because of Louisiana being birthplace and Lilly as mother's maiden name.   It's definitely that of my Great Grandfather Ivory Scott. His daughter Florence Dawson is the informant on his death certificate, and she is also the informant on my father Lawrence Nolan Scott's August 15, 1993 death certificate which showed that he died of Dilated Cardiomyopathy with significant conditions contributing to death that include fatty liver, Nortripyline effect, and probably hyperthermia.  Aunt Florence's Los Angeles addresses on Great Grandpa Ivory's death certificate and my father's certificate are the same.  I used Florence's information on my father's death certificate to find out who was the father of my paternal grandfather Nolan Scott.
