My Y DNA Haplogroup E-BY101982

I took FamilyTreeDNA Big-700 Test.  My Y DNA haplogroup is E-BY101982 which is a branch of E-M54 aka E2b1a.

E-M96 > E-M75 > E-M98 > E-M85 > E-M54 > E-CTS694 > E-CTS4257 > E-BY62766 > E-FT2089 > E- BY108741 > E-BY101982

It is a Sub Saharan African haplogroup.

My most distant known patrilineal ancestor is my 2nd Great Grandfather William Scott.  He was born with the surname Daigre in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1865.  Some time between 1900 and 1910, he changed his surname.

No surnames stand out in my matches. Considering the history of African American slavery, I am not surprised.
